Sneak Peek

Monday Musings: One More Sneak Peek For The Road! a.k.a.Exactly What It Says

It’s been a busy week here at Starving Author LLC and it promises to be even busier this week!  However, I promise not to leave you good folk hanging, so let’s start off the week with the final sneak peek (of this first round) of my newest novel, still really needing a title!  You can read the first Sneak Peek here and the second here.

Monday Musings: You Deserve a Sneak Peek Today!

Yes, things have been rough lately.  Holidays, work, more work, large objects to my face (glasses go boom!), and more!

Still, though, the words have continued to pour from my pen.  My latest novel WiP,  the fantasy mystery romance post-magical-apocalypse film noire tale with some cyberpunk influences that I did a first sneak peek of HERE, is rapidly winding to the conclusion of the first draft.  I’ve had some wonderful alpha readers urging me on and calling me out when they need to, and I feel really good about this.  So, with that said, how about we get a little bit more, something to wet your appetite for what’s to come.  Remember, this is still the rough first draft with only minimal editing.  Still, I think you might enjoy it!

Monday, err, Tuesday Musings: A Taste of What’s to Come

So the things we have learned this past day are obvious, mainly to always ensure one’s alarm is set when living a new, non-standard sleep schedule.  I did warn that some posts might be coming later, but I don’t think a whole day later is covered by that.  For this, I apologize profusely.

To make up for that, let’s do something a bit more substantial than the usual weekly ramble.  How about we put up a little smidge of my next novel (still untitled, yo!), a fantasy mystery romance post-magical-apocalypse film noire tale with some cyberpunk influences.  Remember, this is still first draft stuff but I hope you enjoy all the same!

Sneak Peek: The Twelfth Labor Cover Art by Felipe de Barros

Render

Six chapters to go but the cover art is ready to go!  Once again, my esteemed colleague and friend Felipe de Barros delivers with this stylized piece for the finale to Three Seconds to LegendThe Twelfth Labor.  He really pulled out the stops here, in my opinion, combining the mythic elements in the series with the wrestling theme and the overall drama of the climax of the plot.

The Twelfth Labor should be out by the end of April.

Sneak Peek: The Twelfth Labor Chapter 3

Because all proper sneak peeks come in threes, I present the current manuscript version of the third chapter of the third book in the Three Seconds to Legend book series.  I expect to have The Twelfth Labor ready for publication by the end of February.  Enjoy and keep your eyes peeled for a few more little tidbits and reveals to come in the next couple of weeks!

Sneak Peek: The Twelfth Labor Chapter 2

Because all good Sneak Peeks come in three (I don’t know where I read that, it’s a law or some stuff!), we’ll continue our look at the upcoming finale to Three Seconds to Legend with a peek at the second chapter of The Twelfth Labor.  Drama, action, romance, and a little modern mythology all come together in the pro wrestling world.  Enjoy!

Sneak Peek: The cover art for Incorruptible

Incorruptible Cover

Here it is, delivered as always by the skilled hand of my good friend Felipe de Barros!  With the manuscript entering its second full revision, it is looking like we might really make a January or February release date.  Even though this is the end of this trilogy, I think this is far from the end of my writing stories in the world of The Push Chronicles but I think with a world that’s spawning a lot of interesting characters, it may be time to broaden out to a more anthology-based format.  We’ll see!

Until then, enjoy the art!

Sneak Peek: Character studies from The Push Chronicles

For those of you who followed the Take 2 Kickstarter, the push goal after we made our main goal was to allow for the design and printing of art posters for both The Push Chronicles and Three Seconds to LegendFelipe de Barros was up for the challenge and has been hard at work!

Felipe wanted the chance to draw more of the cast of both series and include them in the posters, so I’m proud to show some of his character studies as a nice sneak peek at the coming posters.  The first round is a Kickstarter exclusive, but I’ll be putting them up for sale through an outlet I have yet to determine after they have received theirs.  Now, without further ado, studies for Extinguisher and Medusa from The Push Chronicles:
